Concussion
Concussion was a deeply personal project delving into the intricate complexities of head injuries and their profound impact on both the physical and mental well-being of individuals. Rooted in a personal connection to rugby, where concussions often occur, this project sought to illuminate the often misunderstood repercussions of such injuries.

Through the lens of photography, I wanted to caputre to a glimpse into the  nature of concussions, recognizing that for those untouched by its effects, understanding its true toll can be a challenge. Thus, intentional blurriness and unfocused imagery were employed to mirror the disorienting symptoms with a concussion.

Opting black and white photos was a deliberate choice aimed at heightening the portrayal of the desolation and bewilderment often associated with concussions.

Reflecting on the culmination of this project, I find satisfaction in its outcome. Yet, the journey doesn't end here. I am compelled to delve deeper into this subject, to unravel its complexities further, and to continue shedding light on the lingering shadows cast by concussions in our lives.
